The Native American People: The Forerunners in This Final Hour

God is raising up the Native American people (the host people of North America) in this final hour. As a collective body, there is no other ‘nation’ (aside from Israel) who have so long covenanted with God Almighty. The Native American people are a ‘nation’ of people whom God is fully restoring in this last hour for one solemn purpose – to prepare the way of the LORD before His second coming. They are the forerunners in this final hour.

In this post I’m going to discuss why they have been chosen by God, and how their hour of destiny is being fulfilled on a global scale.

Elijah is Coming

Elijah had one purpose: to restore the hearts of the people back to God their Father before the coming of the LORD. That promise was fulfilled in John the Baptist before Christ’s first coming. That same spirit will yet come again, and is even now being released. But instead of an individual, God is raising up a nation whom He has strategically primed and groomed throughout the centuries to carry this very special anointing.

The name ‘Elijah’ in Hebrew means “my God is Jehovah” or “Yah is God”, and is pronounced ay-lee-yaw’.

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall… Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse (Malachi 4:1-2 & 5-6, KJV).

Elijah came as prophetically promised:

But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord (Luke 1:13-17, KJV).

Jesus said of John the Baptist:

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear (Matthew 11:12-14, KJV).

Elijah MUST come before Christ does. It is a spiritual prerequisite in which the following key elements take place:

1.) Repentance
2.) Returning the hearts of the children unto God the Father
3.) Restoration of the land, people, and Israel
4.) Preparing the way of the LORD: making the rough ways smooth, the crooked paths straight, the mountains and hills low, and the valleys filled.

No one ministers to the Native American people better than their own. I have no greater joy than to advocate for these beloved people. When God called me at the age of twenty-one I had no idea what I was in for, and I knew virtually nothing. My work with the Native American people began at the tender age of twenty-four. Now at the age of forty-two I have a clarity that I feel compelled to share. It burns in my bones.

This truth I’m about to share with you is imperative. I humbly ask that you prayerfully give ear to what I’m about to say.

is the ‘nation’ upon whom God has chosen
to bestow the Elijah anointing in this final hour
as the global Body of Christ prepares for LORD’s return.

God’s Eternal Calendar

The timing of the LORD’s return is drawing ever nearer. The signs are everywhere, and they are unfolding in rapid acceleration, especially regarding Israel. Let it be known that we are fast embarking upon the seventh and final millennium.

We are currently in the year 5775, which is the sixth millennium according to the Hebrew calendar. We have only two hundred twenty-five years until we reach the seventh and possibly final millennium. I believe this will be a prophetic time prior to the LORD’s return, as the number 6 is the number of man. The seventh millennium will be a spiritual rest in keeping with the Sabbath rest of God. Some believe this seventh millennium (the number 7 represents completion) will be the one thousand year reign of Christ, which finalizes the end of this present age, spoken of in Revelation chapter 20. Many believe it will be followed by an eighth millennium (the number 8 represents new beginnings), which will be marked by the New Jerusalem and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb when the Feast of Sukkot is fulfilled, all things are finished, and the kingdom is handed back over to God the Father (see chapters Revelation 21-22 and 1 Corinthians 15).

If the Hebrew calendar is correct, we are indeed approaching the end of the age rapidly. It is entirely possible that we are on the very cusp of Christ’s return. Although we do not know the specific day or hour, we can certainly be aware of the time as we watch and pray. The current signs in the heavens and the earth are unprecedented. Birth pangs are increasing. In this Hebrew year alone (5775), we have four blood moons fulfilled – all falling upon the LORD’s holy feasts. This has never before happened in the history of mankind. An accident? Hardly. God made it clear in Genesis that these celestial bodies were given to devise the times and seasons since the very beginning (see Genesis 1:14-19). We need to watch and pray like never before as both the heavens and earth will be shaken (see Hebrews 12 and Matthew 24).

With regard to the final hour upon us, God is raising up a people whom He has chosen to once again ‘prepare the way of the LORD’ with that same Elijah anointing that John the Baptist carried. Those chosen people are the host people of North America.

The Last Shall Be First, and the First Shall Be Last

So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen (Matthew 20:16, KJV).

This last move of God’s Spirit is not going to happen the way most think or anticipate. As we prepare, I venture to say most will be surprised at the manner in which God will usher it forth and bring it to pass. This last and final sweeping of God’s Spirit is going to be unparalleled. It will not rest upon any one individual, a singular church, city, nation, or even one region. This final move will be global. It will not be led by individuals of notoriety on Christian billboards and magazines. It will be led by a chosen nation of people whose humble hearts are perfect toward Him.

That chosen nation is the Native American / First Nations people, which are a collective body of people whom God has chosen in this final hour – nations you’ll not necessarily find on a modern map, and even unrecognized at times by government entities. Yet God recognizes them fully. He’s raising them up in His power, and calling them forth. They are going to leap like calves released from the stall – just as a Malachi prophesied.

Some may wonder, “Why the Native people?” And if you’re not familiar with the Native American people, this is a valid question worthy of a legitimate answer. Some may question, “What about Israel?” These are questions I want to address in the remainder of this post.

God has not forgotten Israel – by no means. Let it be clear that Israel is still the chosen people of God. However, unfortunately Israel is still blind and asleep. Her awakening has only just begun, and despite those Jews who have discovered their Messiah, Israel’s awakening is nearly imperceptible, for as a nation she remains in a spiritual stupor (see Romans 9-11).

Christ made it clear that Israel will not be the nation to prepare the way for His second coming, although the signs surrounding her will point to it. The Gentiles will do that, making Israel spiritually jealous. Israel’s salvation is indeed promised, but is yet to be fulfilled. And make no mistake, the Native American people are a key part of that fulfillment.

We must understand the spiritual age in which we are living according to God’s eternal calendar. We are currently in the age where the ‘fullness of the Gentiles’ is being spiritually reaped. It is almost fulfilled. Israel, who is spiritually first (being the chosen people of God), will be the very last to awaken to their Messiah. In the same manner, the Native American people, who have been last and long forgotten, have known God since the beginning. This contrast is stunning. He is now raising them up as forerunners in this final hour as they covenant with the chosen people of Israel, who is God’s first nation.

This is no accident. This is divine strategy. Let’s talk about this divine strategy and what is being accomplished.

Chosen Nations

In the last twenty-plus years God has begun connecting the Native American people with Israel in covenant relationships that have never before been achieved in the history of mankind. NEVER. Time and space fail me in telling of the cultural, linguistic, and even physical similarities among these tribal nations that are both magnificent and mysterious. It is quite possible that the Native American people have a measure of Jewish ancestry – which God, in this final hour, is revealing and using for His prophetic purposes.

The Native American people are awakening as a spiritual giant in this land. God is linking them back to their ancestry, which very likely has Hebraic (Jewish) roots. These two nations of people are awakening simultaneously in this final hour. God is joining forces strategically to prepare the way for the LORD’s glorious and triumphant return.

Ancient Prayers Answered Today

In my personal time of prayer the LORD revealed He is now answering the ancient prayers of many Native American leaders. It’s time. TODAY is the day of salvation. Not yesterday – not even fifty years ago – but today. The ancient prayers of the tribal chiefs, warriors, councilmen, and braves are finally being fulfilled by the hand of a just and righteous God.

God is raising up the Native people with a spiritual vengeance.

Through them, He is going to bring one of the most powerful spiritual awakenings across the land – sweeping all the way back to Israel. Their influence will be GLOBAL.

Before the Lord returns, Israel will indeed awaken. The Gospel that spread from Jerusalem will once again return to it – full circle. The Native American people will be a strategic part of that awakening. Their spiritual influence, and the impact of their prophetic office will be global.

It has become apparent that God, in this final hour, has entrusted the Native people with the Apple of His Eye – His most beloved and chosen treasure: ISRAEL.

A Prophetic Office of Worship and Warfare

Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm (Psalm 105:15, KJV).

As a young Christian I spent hours upon hours for months weeping in intercession and deep travail for the Native people. I lost countless hours of sleep. It grew so intense I had to ask God to stop – and yet it grew stronger. Before I even understood what was happening to me, or why God had ushered me into that deep place, my heart for the Native people was breaking with their cries for mercy and justice. I experienced God’s well of compassion, which was fully aroused for these people. I know what it is to hear blood cry out. I have carried their pain. I have cried their tears. What I did not understand then is clear today. God was not afraid to lay upon me the deep burden of their suffering for a season – before I even knew their story.

Not only is there a recompense to be paid them by the LORD, but He’s going to restore them to such a degree that I believe they will be spiritually elevated even above their elders who have gone before them. The prayers of their elders have prepared an ancient spiritual path which God has hewn. We have yet to see the true legacy of the Native American people fulfilled. This is their hour of destiny.

True restoration is not about going back to the place you left. It’s about being brought to new heights, greater depths, and graduating toward the optimal level Christ has appointed and prepared for you.

The remnant that is alive today has yet to reach their optimal potential. Yet the seed is in them. The Native American people are spiritual giants. They were created by God with a spiritual depth and capacity that is massive, to which most ordinary people cannot relate or comprehend. I believe this is part of the reason why they have been misunderstood for so long. Spiritually, they’ve always been several steps ahead.

They are still ahead.
God is placing them at the very forefront of His end time army.

God deals with nations in much the same way He deals with people. People are given gifts, and so are nations. God will judge individuals, and He will judge nations. The Native American people, as a collective body, are experiencing a phenomenal move. God’s plan has not changed. But the vision is bigger now, and the timing is strategic. They cannot afford to miss their window of opportunity. It is without dispute that the Native people are gifted in the prophetic. But as a collective body of people, or ‘nation’, they hold a prophetic office within the Body of Christ. They are the warriors and worshipers!

While God is pouring out on many nations across the globe today, the Native American people have an ancient relationship with their Creator which has been firmly established since the beginning of time. It’s never wavered. That is a covenant He is honoring in this final hour.

A History of Honor, Humility, and Hearts of Integrity

God diligently searches for those whose hearts are perfect toward Him. The Native American people have a long history of honor which they have spiritually inherited, being demonstrated by their elders who walked with God and among their people. They are people with integrity of soul and impeccable character.

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him (2 Chronicles 16:9, KJV).

The people whom God has created First Nations to be has not changed. God honors those whose hearts are perfect toward Him. The Native American people are of great spiritual integrity, honor, and humility whom God can trust with His presence, anointing, and power to get the job done in these last days. They simply need to awaken to His call and receive the torch He’s bestowing and igniting by the fire of His Spirit.

They will carry the mantle of the Elijah anointing.

The end of the age will be marked by warfare. It will also be marked by whom we choose to worship. God knows precisely what He is doing in choosing these people to lead the way in this last hour. If you want to be ready for Christ’s return, I beg you to watch the Native people, and if possible even connect with them on some level. They are the ones God is raising up in this hour. They are the ones God has chosen to lead the way. They are the ones upon whom God is bestowing His favor, His anointing, His power, and His manifest presence. They are the ones able to carry it. He created them with this spiritual capacity and for this purpose. They are the trustworthy stewards. Their ancient knowledge and ways are not wasted. They are the ones whom God has strategically placed front and center as the Gentile Church enters into this age of fulfillment upon whose shoulders Israel awakens to her Messiah.

Restored to a Place of Honor

The Native American / First Nations people are being fully restored. But it may look different than we expect. God is taking them to new levels in Him. They’re not going back to ancient lands. They’re going GLOBAL. He is setting them at the very front of His army, before a worldwide body of believers, in covenant with Israel who is spiritually asleep, with the power of His Spirit to restore the hearts of the people back to God the Father.

What I see happening delights my heart more than words can say. What I see God doing in and among the Native American people today is truly phenomenal. And it’s only just beginning. It has been a long time coming. Their time of redemption and restoration has officially arrived.

If we want to be ready for the LORD, then we must recognize those upon whom He’s placed His calling and anointing for this hour. As the Body of Christ we need to cooperate with His plan. We must honor His sovereign choosing. We must be willing to follow the ones He’s strategically placed in leadership. And while every nation is indeed a necessary part which plays a very necessary role, God has placed these forgotten people front and center in His end time army. They are the spiritual forerunners in this final hour. They will be the ones who lead us. These ancient covenant people will make a global impact for the kingdom of God that will usher in the King of Glory for us all.

As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make his paths straight. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; and all flesh shall see the salvation of God (Luke 3:4-6, KJV).

God has spent centuries grooming these precious people for this final hour.

All they have suffered, endured, and overcome is not in vain. They will be the ones who will lead the remnant unto victory in these last days.

Israel is indeed awakening from her slumber. The fullness of the Gentiles is being reaped. The end of the age is at our very door. As Christ said, the last shall be first, and the first shall be last. The Native American people are His forerunners in this final hour. We will do well to follow them – and we’ll all win the race.

Hello to all Native Americans. I have been trying to follow you. My wife led me to your work for our Lord. I am a Christian saved by his grace. I have been truly troubled by all the political upheaval in this country and around the world. It is easy for me to see how close we are to the end of this age. I am almost 66 years old and have never seen the lack of respect for God and those of us who believe. I try not to live in fear; but, still have a hard time dealing with what I see and hear. I love our great God and want so much to please him. Anything I can do to help lift you up and keep all who believe (including myself) strong and faithful in these dark days please advise me. I know the author of fear. Don’t like allowing him to control my thoughts.

  What a pleasure to meet you here. Thank you for connecting and taking the time to comment. I am honored to serve the Native people and all those who are interested in getting involved with what God is doing.
  In response to your political concerns, I’d like to echo that many believers are concerned. However, I’d like to encourage you to keep standing for Christ without fear. He is able to keep us until that Day. What is happening is not surprising to me. It’s very much anticipated, which is why this ministry focuses on preparing all believers for what is to come so we may be ready.
  I don’t know if you’re interested in bible study, but I’d love to introduce you to my work, Matthew 24: The End According to Christ. It’s a four-part study on Eschatology which walks you through the prophetic books. I think you would love it.

Wow, I am from the Crow Nation in Montana, just read your article on Native America’s standing in these last days and I am very much aware and have been studying what you have written about, for the last 16 years. I would love to connect and see your research. Our culture and language is very similar to Hebrew, we are just delving deeper into our local culture and its ties to biblical culture.
In April 2013, our tribal Nation, the Crow Tribe, has declared our support of Israel on a nation-to-nation basis, our connection to Israel is becoming stronger and stronger recently.
Something is stirring, there is a deeper spiritual awakening just in the last 5 months!!

Hello Erin
You had just invited me to your page on fb, when I felt Abba leading me to this page. I am first nations living in what we now call america, I was called when I was 10 years old as a forerunner. Yahweh has been sculpting and molding me ever since that time. He gave to me my full time ministry called Messiahs Disciple in 2015. He told me my tribe goes all the way back to the tribe of Levi. He tells me few will find and follow His will be done upon this earth. He has always been close enough to kiss my cheek, all my life. I have one desire and that is to listen and obey His will upon my life. My people have always had a deep reverence for Yahweh, Y’shua would have never had to come and walk this earth, if others followed our lead in living life. We Love our Creator and Maker with a deep relationship and connection to His Spirit, which we never quench. I was told to walk and write my ministry for a time such as this. Sometimes in my dreams I see the Tribulation when Grace is no more, and my writings living on like a living epistle open for all to read, when that time is upon many people. Today, I walk one day at a time listening and obeying all He calls me to. I am sharing this with you because of your writing. It is your confirmation that what you write of is correct. He has and is calling many of our people forward for His end time Army. May His arms always be around you, and may His words always be your mouthpiece.

  I am so very honored that you have read this post and feel so blessed by it. When God gave me this word, I had no idea how far and wide it would spread. God has used it for many people. You are one of several who have taken the time to share with me that God has spoken this very thing into your life. Not only is this a great encouragement and confirmation to me, but also to many others. I know that you are a beautiful warrior, His chosen, His elect bride. God is jealous for His people. His timing is not always understood. But I praise God we are living in the days when the restoration and vindication of the Native people is coming to pass! God is faithful!

Hello Erin, I have read your blog. It was sent to me by a non-Indian friend, and she had not yet read it. I am responding, because I found it intriguing. I am Ojibwe, and have a deep faith in our Lord. It is like what you speak of here. It has been prophesied that I would speak over nations(not referring to Indian nations) by Cindy Jacobs. Though I am certainly not in a position to do so. I am just a man without even a solid background. I have only known the Lord for a dozen years. My desire is to be obedient to Him, whatever that entails. If you have any further insight, please enlighten me.

Roy, I want to encourage you to follow the LORD in faith, although I cannot personally speak to your prophetic calling. I do know that the LORD takes His time in preparing us. Therefore, I encourage you to move forward with what God has confirmed to you by His Word, His Spirit, and in prayer, and be patient in following the LORD each step of the way as this comes to pass in your life. I hear your heart and I rejoice with you. God is raising up Native people all over this land to do a mighty work in these last days. I am so blessed to know this post has blessed and encouraged you.
